COURTS - CRIMINAL - TRAFFIC

A Criminal Traffic Offense is a violation that may subject a defendant, upon conviction, to incarceration. Criminal offenses require a court appearance and can carry penalties including fines/costs, probation, and/or incarceration.

Some examples of a Criminal Traffic Offense are driving under the influence, driving while license suspended/revoked, or reckless driving.

Criminal Traffic Court is held on Monday and Tuesdays starting at 9:00 AM before the Honorable Judge Granville C. Burgess. Court Sessions are open to the public unless specifically closed by the Judge. Information concerning scheduled hearings can be obtained from the Clerk's Criminal Division at the number listed to the right.

 


Sealing and Expungement of Cases

The packet containing instructions and forms needed to file a petition to seal or expunge can be obtained from the Criminal Customer Service Department at the Nassau County Judicial Complex.

There will be a filing fee of $75.00 to the Florida Department Of Law Enforcement ( F.D.L.E ).
